How many times have I passed by one of those big box garden centers in the fall with tons of garden mums out on display? Oh I don’t know, way too many to count I guess, LOL Usually, I’d walk right past the mums as they never really interested me. That was until last year, when my son decided he wanted to decorate the front of the house for Halloween. Cool. I thought, why not plant some color in the front of the house, like orange, to go with the Halloween decorations? I could leave them in through Thanksgiving and be done with them. Sooo, I bought some orangish, rust colored garden mums and proceeded to plant them. They looked great for the holidays so I was pretty pleased with my purchase. They lasted quite awhile, in fact a few of the plants survived and came back this year, just in time for fall and Halloween! SCORE!
Fast forward to today (Well, yesterday to be exact, but who really cares?). I was at one of those big box garden centers again (shocking, I know! 😂) this time, looking for a pot. I happened to see some of the usual suspects (garden mums) and thought, hmmm, they did so well last year, maybe I should get a few more. Besides, they really looked pretty in pink and burgundy and at $2.48 a pop, how could I resist? I ended up buying 2. 😊
Please enjoy the pictures of my new garden mums. I haven’t planted them yet, but I sure enjoyed taking pictures of them. I think they are so pretty 💕💕
