Twilight Zone

I love my Twilight Zone rose! I guess it loves me too, as it has decided it will give me a few more fabulous blooms before winter 💕

Twilight Zone is a beautiful, dark purple Grandiflora, with large buds that open to very double old-fashioned flowers that infuse the air with an intense fragrance of clove and lemony citrus blossom. It’s foliage is medium, semi-glossy, and dark green

A healthy plant with a great fragrance, Twilight Zone does NOT like the high temps here in Zone 10a! When the temps rise, it has a tendency to create smaller lighter mauve colored blooms and the flowers can get very crispy and crunchy (as evidenced by the last two pictures in this post). I think Shade Sails or Garden Umbrellas could help with the crispy flowers. I’m probably going to get the umbrellas for next summer so I’ll let you know how that works out!

Anyway, please enjoy my pics of the beautiful Twilight Zone, and definitely consider adding her to your garden 💕
